Fab Travel: The Luggage Debate
In recent years, I’ve noticed that you can’t get through an airport terminal without seeing at least one person with a 4-wheel piece of luggage. When I began to travel weekly for business, I started to look at those people with envy as my travel companions increased to a 2-wheel carry-on, briefcase and purse. As I dragged my bag through the terminal, my arms, hands and back took a beating from the major weight I was literally lugging around. So I made the switch – I picked up my first set of 4-wheel luggage! And guess what, I’m not going back to 2-wheels. But rather than force you to come to the same conclusion that I have, I’d rather you take a look at the pros and cons of both types, then make a final decision on what you’ll choose. Check it out:

I guess you can tell which direction I’m leaning towards… There’s no way that I’ve been completely exhaustive with this list. That’s why I want to hear from you! What are your thoughts? Which luggage-type do you prefer? Let me know if the comments section below!

I have been contemplating making the switch from two wheels to four. This comparison helped solidify my decision! Now the hunt is on for a cute four wheel carry-on. Any suggestions?
Hi Chasity! We like the Heys Britto Collection, but they’re a bit on the pricey side: http://www.zappos.com/heys-britto-collection-a-new-day-30-spinner-luggage-case-hearts?utm_source=shopstyle. Unfortunately, the better the design the higher the price. However, the Samsonite spinners are really durable and come with a great warranty. To spice it up, you can get one in a fab color – maybe in wine or even red: http://www.ebags.com/product/samsonite/xspace-215-expandable-spinner/147143?productid=10009427!
Fab Travels!
I just made the switch to a 4-wheel carry-on and I love it! It is a lovely chocolate brown quilted pattern from Brookstone. It came with an additional shoulder bag and jewelry roll inside. My husband prefers his 2-wheel to drag around like a cave girl, but I will never go back. It saves my back to push it along and is much more stable with my shoulder bag sitting on while stationary. I am currently on my first international vacation ever so it was important that I didn’t stress about having to constantly keep holding it up or having to drag it while running to my next gate.
We’re so happy you made the switch. We don’t like to literally lug a 2-wheeled bag around the airport. Talk about an arm ache if you overpack! lol
We’d love if you came back and told us about your first international vacation too! Where did you decide to go?
